  • No, you don’t need a referral to book an appointment with Dr. Jardim. However, having a referral from your GP or specialist can qualify you for a Medicare rebate, reducing the cost of your consultation.

    • GP referrals are valid for 12 months.

    • Specialist referrals are valid for 3 months.

    • Referrals must be addressed to Dr. Christopher Jardim

    It is recommended that you speak to your GP or specialist for guidance if you’d like to take advantage of Medicare rebates.

  • As a general rule, plastic surgery for purely cosmetic reasons is not covered by Medicare or private health insurance.

    However, procedures with a significant functional component may qualify for partial rebates. For example:

    • Rhinoplasty to correct nasal deformities or breathing issues.

    • Breast Reduction when large breasts cause chronic pain or restrict daily activities.

  • Dr Jardim has his primary base at Valley Plastic Surgery, but also has a regular clinic at Northlakes. 

  • There is a range of options that Dr Jardim uses, designed to give you the best care and best outcomes from your surgery. He has a in-house Minor Operation Suite in his rooms at VPS for smaller cases and admitting rights to most hospitals in Brisbane for larger cases. His primary hospitals are Brisbane Private Hospital and Northlakes Day Hospital.
