  • No, you don’t need a referral to book an appointment with Dr. Jardim. However, having a referral from your GP or specialist can qualify you for a Medicare rebate, reducing the cost of your consultation.

    • GP referrals are valid for 12 months.

    • Specialist referrals are valid for 3 months.

    • Referrals must be addressed to Dr. Christopher Jardim

    It is recommended that you speak to your GP or specialist for guidance if you’d like to take advantage of Medicare rebates.

  • As a general rule, plastic surgery for purely cosmetic reasons is not covered by Medicare or private health insurance.

    However, procedures with a significant functional component may qualify for partial rebates. For example:

    • Rhinoplasty to correct nasal deformities or breathing issues.

    • Breast Reduction when large breasts cause chronic pain or restrict daily activities.
